The Coppice Labs Audit is a product-led, sell-side readiness assessment for founders preparing to raise investment or exit. Each tier changes how much of our framework we assess, not the quality of the assessment.

It takes place before formal investor or acquirer due diligence, while there is still time to address product strengths, weaknesses, evidence gaps and avoidable risks.

Choose the right breadth

Three options to assess readiness depending how broad your needs are.

The Audit is organised into 5 connected pillars: Customer Value, Future Growth, the Commercial Model, Transferability and Foundational Readiness. Together, those pillars contain 14 focus areas, each examining a specific part of product readiness in depth.

The Full Audit covers the complete framework, where you can view all 14 focus areas. Focused and Extended concentrate the work where it will be most useful.

Complete 5-pillar framework

A framework-wide assessment for owners who need evidence and implications connected across all 5 pillars.

Suited to situations where narrowing the scope would leave important product-readiness questions unresolved.

Choosing where to focus

We help you decide where attention will be most useful.

We start by understanding your context, concerns and intended outcome, then use professional judgement to recommend the focus areas that deserve closer attention. The conversation can also help you prepare and clarify priorities, even if you decide not to move forward with an Audit.

  1. Understand the context

We discuss your company, product and intended raise or exit.

  2. Screen the framework

We consider the business at a high level across the complete Coppice Labs framework.

  3. Identify material areas

For Focused or Extended, we identify where substantive assessment is likely to create the greatest value or reveal important readiness issues.

  4. Recommend the scope

Coppice Labs recommends the focus areas using the evidence available, likely transaction scrutiny and areas of uncertainty or risk.

  5. Agree the scope

We explain the recommendation and agree the engagement scope with you.

  6. Begin the Audit

The substantive evidence-led assessment starts once the scope is clear.

What the assessment involves

Evidence is examined, tested and connected.

For every included focus area, we work through the underlying question set. We interpret what the findings mean for the product and the intended raise or exit.

This is a product-led readiness assessment, not generic technical, legal or commercial due diligence.

  • Identify the right areas to investigate.

  • Obtain credible evidence rather than accept assertions.

  • Reconcile conflicting accounts from founders, teams, customers and data.

  • Interpret findings in the context of the product and company.

  • Connect evidence across the assessment.

  • Identify implications for a raise or exit.

  • Expose evidence gaps and avoidable risks.

  • Turn findings into practical preparation before formal diligence.

Delivery and complexity

A clear timetable, confirmed around the evidence.

Most audits are completed within 2–6 weeks of kickoff. Timing is confirmed during scoping and depends on the agreed scope, availability of evidence and access to relevant stakeholders.

Published pricing is designed for typical single-company audit engagements. Particularly complex or multi-product organisations may require separate scoping.
